Dr Vadim Brjalin

Gastroenterologist

Languages: Estonian, English and Russian

I have long-term experience in gastroenterology and I work on diagnosing and treating various gastrointestinal diseases. I use different diagnostic methods like gastro-, coloscopic and ultrasound diagnostics in my practice. In collaboration with the patient, I try to find the best solution to his problems. I am convinced that good diagnostics result in a successful medical treatment – well diagnosed, well treated (bene diagnoscitur, bene curatur).

While completing my doctoral studies at the University of Tartu, I delved into studying liver diseases, especially hepatitis C and cirrhosis. Currently, I actively participate in the liver transplant program in Estonia. In addition to working as a gastroenterologist in West Tallinn Central Hospital, I gained valuable experience in the field of diagnostics of gastrointestinal diseases working in cycles from 2002 to 2011 at the Danish Oncology Private Clinic. I keep up to date with professional news by doing presentations at various seminars and training sessions, thus training other colleagues.
