I have been working as an ophthalmologist for 12 years. I began my work as a general ophthalmologist, but over the years, I have increasingly focused on retinal disorders. Over the years, this area has developed very rapidly thanks to the improvement of diagnostic and treatment methods and therefore offers many challenges for doctors.
My surgical activity is largely related to retinal disorders, but I also do cataract operations on a daily basis. I have kept on learning over the years in the field of eye traumas and I always welcome new challenges in this area.
2006 University of Tartu, Ophthalmology residency
2003 University of Tartu, Faculty of Medicine, medical degree
2018– Tallinn Centre of Medical Specialists, ophthalmologist
2006– East-Tallinn Central Hospital, Eye Clinic, ophthalmologist
I highly appreciate the experiences I gained from the European Board of Ophthalmology (EBO) international exam in the end of my residency in 2006. The second pillar of my education has been the retinal surgery training I received in Bremen in 2007, which is still conducted by European VitroRetinal Society (EVRS). Afterwards, I have gained knowledge by regularly attending specialist conferences and visiting European Clinics.

In my free time I like to be active. During summer I enjoy fishing, working in the garden in the countryside and in recent years, I have started restoring my ancestors log cabin.
